Empowering Women Producers Through Financial Literacy Project

As part of the "Accountable Cyprus" Project," a "Financial Literacy Training for Women Producers" has been organized in collaboration with the Girne Women Labourers Cooperative, at the Dome Hotel in Girne on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 6:00 PM.

The training, aimed at enhancing competency in understanding and interpreting financial concepts related to the production sector, was attended by many women producers who are members of the Girne Women Workers Cooperative.

During the training, conducted by KMC Consulting expert Niyal Öztürk, information was provided on different types of costs for producers, cost calculation for those producing multiple products, and pricing strategies. The participants' interest and active engagement throughout the event increased awareness of financial literacy and helped them better understand production costs.

"Accountable Cyprus " Financial Literacy Project

The first phase of "Accountable Cyprus" Financial Literacy, Awareness, and Capacity Building Project, has been launched on November 23, 2022, and will last 18 months. The project aims to increase awareness, knowledge, and competencies on financial literacy among individuals.

Targeting high school and university students, micro-enterprises, SMEs, women entrepreneurs, farmers, and retirees, the project is funded by the North Cyprus Banks Association and implemented by KMC Consulting.
