"Budgeting and Money Management" training was organized for women, within the scope of the Accountable Cyprus Financial Literacy Project, in cooperation with the Association of Entrepreneurial Women and Erenköy-Karpaz Municipality.


The second of the "Budgeting and Money Management" training programme for women within the scope of the Accountable Cyprus Project was held in Yeni Erenköy, Erdoğan Hoşsöz Cultural Center, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 10:00, in cooperation with the Entrepreneurial Women Association (GİKAD) and Erenköy-Karpaz Municipality.


Women who attended the training from Yeni Erenköy and Dipkarpaz were made aware of financial concepts, goals, budgeting, saving, correct and controlled spending, saving and investing. In the training, which aims to raise awareness about financial literacy, the steps to be followed when starting to create a budget were explained to the participants, and tips were given on how to analyze and control expenses. At the end of the training, participants were better equipped to deal with the financial difficulties they face in their daily lives.


The "Accountable Cyprus" Financial Literacy Project, is financed by the Northern Cyprus Banks Association and carried out by KMC Consulting. The Project aims to contribute to the dissemination of financial literacy in the society.

The first of the "Budgeting and Money Management" trainings for women within the scope of the Accountable Cyprus Project was held at Akdoğan Youth Center on Friday, January 19, 2024, at 16.00, in cooperation with the Business Women Association and Mesarya Municipality.


In the training, which aims to raise awareness on financial literacy, participants were made aware of financial concepts, financial goals, budgeting and saving, correct and controlled spending, saving and investing. During the interactive training, participants were explained the steps to follow on creating a budget and were given tips on how to analyze and control expenses. At the end of the training, participants were better equipped to deal with the financial difficulties they face in their daily lives.


The "Accountable Cyprus" Financial Literacy Project, is funded by the Northern Cyprus Banks Association and carried out by KMC Consulting. The Project aims to contribute to the dissemination of financial literacy in society through training and various other programmes.



 
 
 

CTBCA Announced the Launch of the Project for Developing and Inspecting Standards for the Construction Sector

Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (CTBCA) has announced the launch of the "Development and Inspection of Standards for the Construction Sector" project. The project aims to develop institutional and structural standards for the construction sector, which is one of the fundamental elements of economic and social development in the country, and to increase the competitiveness of the sector.


CTBCA President Cafer Gürcafer stated at the signing ceremony held on April 10, 2023, in the KTİMB meeting hall, that the recent earthquake disaster and developments in the world have once again highlighted the importance of developing construction sector standards in the country.


As part of the Union's development plan for the sector, the project will develop a sector standard where contractors will voluntarily apply to be audited and certified. The project, which is being carried out in collaboration with the internationally accredited inspection body USB Certification and solution partner KMC Consulting, aims to certify CTBCA members according to the developed construction quality management system.


The development of construction sector standards will enable construction companies to work more institutionally, effectively, and efficiently, while the "Corporate Competency Certification" that will be provided within the framework of the CTBCA Standard Development Center "STAGEM" after the audit will make the product and service quality of companies more visible, improve the sector's brand image, and make CTBCA members more competitive in national and international markets. It was also announced that regional information meetings would start soon as part of the project.
