Cyprus Turkish Building Contractors Association (CTBCA) has announced the launch of the "Development and Inspection of Standards for the Construction Sector" project. The project aims to develop institutional and structural standards for the construction sector, which is one of the fundamental elements of economic and social development in the country, and to increase the competitiveness of the sector.

CTBCA President Cafer Gürcafer stated at the signing ceremony held on April 10, 2023, in the KTİMB meeting hall, that the recent earthquake disaster and developments in the world have once again highlighted the importance of developing construction sector standards in the country.

The project, which is being carried out in collaboration with the internationally accredited inspection body USB Certification and solution partner KMC Consulting, aims to certify CTBCA members according to the developed construction quality management system.

The development of construction sector standards will enable construction companies to work more institutionally, effectively, and efficiently, while the "Corporate Competency Certification" that will be provided within the framework of the CTBCA Standard Development Center "STAGEM" after the audit will make the product and service quality of companies more visible, improve the sector's brand image, and make CTBCA members more competitive in national and international markets.
